Nicholas P. Kapiotis is an Associate Attorney and is a member of our Trial Practice and Dispute Resolution Group. Mr. Kapiotis focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial and construction litigation, including contractual disputes, construction-defects litigation, disputes among business partners, foreclosures, debt restructuring on behalf of both creditors and debtors, and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Kapiotis represents developers, owners, contractors, sub-contractors, lending institutions, commercial landlords and tenants, condominium associations, principals and investors and business entities in a variety of complex business disputes.

Prior to joining Norton, Hammersley, Mr. Kapiotis was employed as a staff attorney with the International Dispute Resolution Group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. While with Skadden, Arps, Mr. Kapiotis focused his practice on international business issues on behalf of multi-national clients, including arbitration under the auspices of the World Bank, review of multi-lateral investment treaties, advising on avenues to challenge foreign arbitration awards, contractual review, and discovery in connection with many high-profile cases. In 2007, Mr. Kapiotis received a service award arising out of his dedication to pro bono service.

Mr. Kapiotis earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey in 2005 and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS in 2001. Mr. Kapiotis is admitted to practice law in the states of Florida and New York. He is a member of the Florida, New York and Sarasota County Bar Associations.
